Sir John Soane’s Museum

Sir John Soane’s Museum is part time machine, part treasure trove, the house of a famous neo-classical architect who, on his death in 1837, bequeathed the building and its contents to the public on the condition that is be preserved exactly as he left it.

You will find Soane was an avid collector of antiquities, arts and books, and 1000s of architectural drawings and historical volumes.Soane’s museum hosts a full programme of temporary exhibitions.
